Faculty, Staff and Students,
Due to circumstances, we must change the placement of this years
parking decals. Effective immediately, the new decal must be securely
affixed to the back of the rearview mirror. Taping the decal to the
mirror is not permissible. Decals not affixed to the rearview mirror
constitute an improper display violation. Please ensure that decals
from previous school years are completely removed.
If you have purchased your 2009-10 decal and placed it on the outside
rear window, as you were previously instructed, do not remove it. You
will be notified after Fall Registration of the procedure for a
replacement decal at no charge. Please leave the original decal in
place as proof of purchase.
Be mindful that your 2008-2009 decals will expire on August 31, 2009. New decals are available for purchase at the Cashier's Office located in Virginia Hall.
We sincerely apologize for the change and we will do everything
possible to not inconvience you any further in the transition.
*UPDATE*
This is a reminder that 2008-09 Parking Decals expire Monday, August 31, 2009. All authorized vehicles should then display the new decal for School Year 2009-10 on the rearview mirror. Previous year decals may be removed by scraping, saturation with rubbing alcohol, or other cleaning liquids, ie 409, Kaboom, etc.
If you purchased your decal before August 14, 2009 and placed the decal on the rear window of your vehicle, you may come to the Police Department between the hours of 12 Noon and 5 PM, Tuesday September 1 and Friday, September 4, to be reissued a replacement decal. Please leave the old decal on your window as proof of purchase. After verifying your purchase, the Police Department will remove it for you.
The Department of Police and Public Safety will begin strict decal and parking enforcement September 1, 2009.
