| Shaffer-Gottschalk performs as both soloist and ensemble pianist, playing the standard repertoire of the eighteenth through twentieth centuries, including music of the twentieth-century avant-garde. He presents lecture-recitals to both academic and community audiences. Additional accomplishments include world premieres of works by Allan Blank and the recording of Blank's Sonata for Piano. He is currently preparing a centenary year complete recording of 24 Negro Melodies, op. 59 (1905) by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. |
