  Neil Purvis To Play In Las Vegas, NV

On January 22, 2005 Virginia State University’s Neil Purvis, will play in the 4th Annual Las Vegas All-American Classic at Sam Boyd Field in Las Vegas, NV.  Purvis has been a four-year starter for the Mighty Trojans at linebacker and defensive-tackle. 

He has been the Trojans’ leader and mainstay on the defensive-line for the past two seasons.  Purvis is the kind of player who leads by example and not by words alone.  The Trojans coaching staff considers Purvis as a quality young man and student-athlete.   There will be 102 student-athletes invited to play in the 4th Annual Las Vegas All-American Classic.   He is one of three Division II student-athletes invited to compete amongst the nation’s best in Division I and Division 1-AA football. 

Playing in the Las Vegas All-American Classic will provide players a tremendous opportunity to showcase their talent and will allow them to meet and develop relationships with NFL scouts, CFL scouts, NFL Europe coaches and assistant coaches.  The experience will be extremely helpful to all the student-athletes as they pursue their professional aspirations on the football field.

The Las Vegas All-American Classic can be seen live or on tape delay via the Fox Sport Network’s including Fox Sports West, Fox Sports Bay Area, Fox Sports Rocky Mountain, Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports Northwest, Fox Sports Southwest and Fox Sports Midwest.

The head coaches for the 4th Annual Las Vegas All-American Classic will be Jim Harbough for the West and Jack Harbough for the East.
