Course Description.
Overview of the tools, materials, and processes of three-dimensional media. Emphasis on the manipulation and safe handling of materials and tools, their use in artistic expression, and historical development.
Policy
Students are to read the Department of art and Design’s Grading and attendance policy.
After having read this policy, each student will sign policy acknowledging their willingness to comply with the stated requirements.
Professionalism
- Students are required to bring all necessary tools and related materials to class.
- Drawings are to be kept neatly in a sketch pad to be turned in for grading along with the final projects.
- On time attendance and acceptance and participation are essential. Assignments will be given at the beginning of each class. Instructions will not be repeated.
Safety
- Cleanup and Maintenance is required of all students working in studio areas.
- After completing tool and equipment orientation students are to use equipment properly and return equipment to its proper place.
- Damaged or misuse of equipment are to be reported to instructor immediately.
Work areas are to be cleaned upon completion of each work cession.
Violations of any of the above rules could potentially cause injury and will affect the offender’s grade.
