VSU vs. Bowie State Univ. Gm#3

QB Michael Terry who came in for injured QB Lamar Blizzard, looks down field as he scrambles out of the pocket......Freshman (RB) Joshua Russell looks for running room through the BSU defensive-line.  The Trojans were defeated by the Bulldogs, 26-23 in a rough head to head CIAA Eastern Division matchup.

The opening kickoff made the Bulldogs take notice that VSU came to play. Receiver P.J. Berry took the kick from the 11-yard line, went straight up the middle, turned on the jets and took it 89 yards to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead. It was Berry's third special teams touchdown in the last five games; dating back to last year's game vs. Shaw.

Midway in the third quarter, Bowie's Redman would score his second touchdown of the game from 60 yards away to increase the lead to 26-17. The Bulldog running back would rush for 115 yards and 15 yards.

However, Berry would strike again in the fourth quarter when he scored for the third time. he would take a lateral from Terry at the Bulldogs' 14-yard line and shook two defenders to cross the goal line. That score was the first TD pass thrown by Terry in a VSU uniform.
