Ashley Chandler #48 applies pressure to NSU's quarterback. Chandler finished the contest with 7 total tackles and a pass breakup. Dennis Jones #25 followed was the Trojans' workhorse as he carried the ball 25 times for 95 yards and a touchdown. The Mighty Trojans marched into Spartan country with the determination to capture their second consecutive Labor Day Classic. In the 14th Annual Labor Day Classic in front of 15,000 football fans the Trojans handled the Spartans, 17-7. With a redshirt freshman guiding the offense and an offensive-line that consisted of two freshman and two sophomores, the Trojans controlled the line of scrimmage. The Trojans' offense generated 274 yards of total offense, ran 61 offensive plays, compiled 13 first downs and average 4.5 yards per play.
