Enterprise Motor PoolVirginia State University vehicular motor pool services are being provided through Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Compact, intermediate, standard and full size vehicles are available. Mini-vans (7 passengers) are also available by using a University issued purchase order. Enterprise has over 21 locations in the Petersburg/Richmond Metropolitan Area. Vehicles are available on a half day, daily, weekly and monthly basis. Persons not on official State business may not be transported in vehicles rented to facilitate State business. Reservations Enterprise will accept reservations via facsimile, telephone and the internet. Enterprise has provided the local Petersburg office as the local contact for the purpose of making reservations. - Identify yourself as an employee of Virginia State University requiring a vehicle to perform official State business.
- Provide the requested travel information including the anticipated rental period (i.e. half day, full day, or weekly).
- Provide the location where the vehicle should be delivered and where it should be picked up from at the conclusion of your use.
- Provide your American Express Corporate Travel Charge Card information and receive your confirmation number.

Transportation ReimbursementEmployees electing to use their personal vehicle as a matter of convenience will be reimbursed at the reduced mileage rate of $.19 per mile. Commuting mileage and other commuting cost incurred on a normal workday are considered a personal expense and not reimbursable. Travel to or from the Enterprise rental office is NOT reimbursable. If you do not have an American Express Corporate Travel Card, please contact Ms. Gloria Taylor at (804) 524-5736. Insurance Be knowledgeable of Risk Management's insurance requirements and know what to do in the case of an accident. Please contact Ms. Sheila Phillips, University Risk Manager, if you have any questions at (804) 524-5996. - If traveling within the U.S. or Canada, decline the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Liability Damage Waiver (LDW) insurance. The University's insurance plan covers both collision and liability damage, and you cannot be reimbursed for this expense.
- Decline Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) or personnel effects coverage unless you wish to incur this expense yourself as this is considered a personal expense and you cannot be reimbursed.
