The VSU Multipurpose Center (MPC) has been named the 2018 Business of the Year by the Colonial Height Chamber of Commerce.The VSU Multipurpose Center (MPC) has been named the 2018 Business of the Year by the Colonial Height Chamber of Commerce.

The MPC is a state-of-the-art facility that stands as the premier entertainment and meeting space destination in the Tri Cities Area of Virginia. The arena measures up to be the size of three football fields at 167,000 sq. ft. and seats more than 6,000, making it the largest event venue located south of Richmond in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Managed and operated by Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, the amenities- packed multipurpose center hosts men’s and women’s athletic events, live concerts, family shows, banquets, trade shows, corporate meetings, commencements and more.

The MPC was honored with the Business of the Year Award at the 69th Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner held in the MPC on Thursday, March 22, 2018. The Chamber’s dinner program focused on honoring Hometown Heroes in which local teachers, public safety officers, military veterans and other members of the community were presented with special recognitions.
