Graduation & Commencement
Virginia State University will host the Spring 2024 Commencement with two ceremonies on Saturday, May 11th at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM in the Multi-purpose Center. Below is the breakdown of the times and Colleges:
9:00 AM
- College of Education
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences
2:00 PM
- College of Agriculture
- College of Engineering & Technology
- College of Natural & Health Sciences
- RFL College of Business
*All Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral candidates will receive their degree at the time allotted for their respective college.
The commencement exercise is a formal academic ceremony. You and your fellow graduates have worked hard for this day and the commencement staff have worked hard to make the day a memorable one for you, your family and your guests. We ask that you respect the ceremony, your fellow graduates, and guests by dressing and behaving in the dignified manner that the occasion merits. Cap and gown regalia is required dress for all graduates. No food or beverage is permitted.
