DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach undergraduate associate level nursing courses in Medical/Surgical/Adult Nursing with some responsibility in Women’s Health and Nursing of Children. Responsible for didactic classroom teaching, clinical, and practice skills laboratory. Teaching days will include some evenings (12:00 noon to 9:00 pm) and Saturdays. Other duties include, but are not limited to, providing academic advisement; participating in scholarly endeavors; conducting and publishing research; recruitment of students; engaging in grantsmanship; and serving on departmental, school and university committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate preferred, however, candidate must have a Master’s in Nursing from an accredited institution, hold a valid licensure or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and current malpractice insurance required. Successful candidate must have recent (within 5 years) RN Nursing demonstrated expertise in Medical/Surgical/Adult Nursing and hold a MSN in Nursing.
