ACC Policies & Procedures

The Academic Credits Committee (ACC) deliberates requests for exceptions to academic policies in the areas of readmission to the University after suspension for poor academic performance, residency requirements and proficiency examinations, and other areas not assigned to the schools. This committee serves as the final arbiter for these issues, and its policies and procedures are applicable to both undergraduate and graduate students and programs.

Faculty Handbook

The VSU Faculty Handbook is the go-to resource for faculty members for information on many topics related to their employment and responsibilities, ranging from professional ethics to compensation to classroom management.

The handbook begins with a historical profile of the university as well as information on its mission statement and principles, and then covers university governance. It moves on to get into more detail on general employment policies, compensation, instruction, academic policies and regulations, faculty evaluation, professional development, grievance procedures, the promotion and tenure review process, and much more.
