At Virginia State University all individuals seeking master's or post-master's degrees must submit test scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The GRE scores must be no more than six (6) years old when the student is admitted to the Graduate School. If the GRE was taken earlier, the student must take it again and submit new scores.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Policy:
Your application packet will not be considered for admission until OFFICIAL GRE SCORES for the Verbal and Quantitative Subtests are received by the Office of Graduate Admissions. These scores must be sent directly to us from the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
You must request to have your OFFICIAL GRE scores sent to Virginia State University (VSU). Our institution code is 5860.
DO NOT SEND SCORES TO THE ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT.
Unofficial GRE test scores are not acceptable. Please allow 20 business days from your GRE test date for VSU to receive your official GRE scores. We will notify you by email upon receipt of your official GRE scores.
