The Student Enhancement and Support Program is designed to assist all VSU students as they matriculate into and progress through Virginia State University.
The University College’s Student Enhancement and Support Program (SES) is committed to providing a broad and diverse academic and student enhancement service. Our services will address the needs of all VSU students regardless of their classification. The SES seeks to enrich the academic, social, cultural, and personal experience of each student as it strives to instill enthusiasm for life-long learning while maintaining principles initiated by VSU’s founder Alfred W. Harris.
SES’s services benefit students of all classifications. The primary goal of the SES Program for First-Time Students is to assist them in making a smooth and successful transition into Virginia State University college life. Upper-class students will continue to hone and develop their skills. Participating in all of the SES activities will help students to build a strong foundation that will sustain their educational, social, and personal endeavors from freshmen year to graduation!
