The University College of Virginia State University launched on Oct. 15, 2012, with the goal of improving student retention and graduation rates at the University. The University College has three key academic components to provide students with the support and tools they need to be successful. These are the:
- Student Enhancement and Support Services (formerly the Academic Success Center);
- First Year Experience Program; and
- Academic Advising and Personal Life Coaching.
